Santino presents a self-watering flowerpot Latina made of durable plastic and is a suitable for growing different types of plants. It has a smooth surface and greatly imitates ceramics.
It is designed with an ingenious drainage system that allows excess water to drain from the substrate in the external pot. This planter maintains proper moisture levels for up to four weeks between refills.
An advantage of this pot is that it is light and can be quickly and easily moved to a different location to the specific needs of the growing plant. Other pots of this size, for example ceramic, are heavier and are harder to carry them from one place to another. It is equipped with a drainage cartridge. You don’t have to worry about daily watering.
It is preferred both by lovers of gardening, as well as by professional gardeners. Thanks to unobtrusive and attractive colors, stylish design and elegant shape it can be used for decorating hotels, restaurants, offices and houses.
1. Before planting the plant directly into the soil, remove plastic wrap from the cartridge.
2. Pour the first layer of soil (into inner pot) which shouldn’t be much since you need to leave enough space for the root ball. Instead of soil, different types of peat mixtures, suitable for your plants, can be used.
3. Place the plant directly into the flower pot and fill the remaining space with soil. Slightly compress.
4. Add a little bit more soil, because it will settle within 2-3 weeks by 5-10%. Water your plant directly into the soil. Later you can water your plant through the spout element on the side of the pot.
The water reservoir of Latina pot holds different amount of water depending on the size of the pot:
